I’m thrilled to announce that I’m collaborating with my close friend Anna to host a nurturing weekend retreat at the beautiful Ingo Brake retreat in Devon. This enchanting house, built in 1901, is set on the edge of Dartmoor and just a short 10-minute walk from the breathtaking waterfall at Lydford Gorge. Surrounded by lush forest and a rich diversity of flora and fauna, Ingo Brake provides the perfect backdrop for a restorative and nature-filled retreat experience.

Anna
Yoga practitioner
Hello, my name’s Anna and I am a former science teacher turned choreographer and certified vinyasa yoga teacher, based in Brighton. Having always been passionate about dance and movement, I came to yoga to find a sense of calm. I practice yoga to feel grounded in the present and appreciate the sense of community when practicing with others.
Blending my love of science, dance and playful exploration, I enjoy guiding dynamic classes that focus on feeling movement, with linking transitions and theming inspired by nature. I aim to make my classes suitable for all levels with options always offered to encourage a more restful or energised practice.
What is Vinyasa yoga?
Vinyasa yoga is a dynamic style of yoga that links breath with movement in a flowing sequence of poses. In a typical vinyasa class, postures are connected in a smooth, continuous flow, often synchronized with inhalations and exhalations, creating a rhythmic and energizing practice. Known for its variety and adaptability, vinyasa yoga can range from gentle to challenging, offering options for all levels. This style encourages presence, builds strength, flexibility, and balance, and fosters a meditative focus as practitioners move mindfully from one pose to the next.

Thai massage practitioner
My name is also Anna, and I’m a certified Thai yoga massage practitioner. Drawing on many years of experience in somatic movement practices and dance, I came to massage with the intention of facilitating a process that deepens one’s sensory awareness and embodied presence through the power of therapeutic touch. I combine my interest in anatomy and physiology with more poetic and creative tools to bring balance to the living body. I am passionate about creating a space that invites the receiver on a journey of felt sensation and inner connection, restoring calm, vitality, and supporting the body’s natural healing potential.
What is Thai massage?
It is a versatile bodywork modality that can beautifully support your yoga practice as well as help enhance and integrate your retreat experience. Great for rebalancing the body’s tonicity, improving mobility and flexibility where needed, or as a deeply relaxing treatment. Thai massage is a journey of deepening one’s sensory awareness, laying foundations for better movement and mental wellbeing alike.
During your session, you will wear comfortable clothing (what you wear for yoga will work perfectly!) and I will always work with your body’s limits, helping it open gradually and never forcing anything. Before the treatment, we’ll have a consultation to tailor the session to your individual needs.
